Gellért Hill

Gellért Hill is one of the best places in Budapest for panoramic views of the city. Rising above the Danube on the Buda side, the hill offers spectacular viewpoints overlooking the Parliament, the bridges, and the Pest skyline.

At the top of the hill you’ll find the Citadella, a historic fortress, as well as the Liberty Statue, one of Budapest’s most recognizable monuments. The climb to the top involves some uphill walking, but the views from the top are well worth the effort.
